1. Ensure your Desktop is in order.
Unless you’re a neat-nick with obsessive-compulsive disorder, your desktop is probably polluted with shortcuts you never use, data you may not realize, and miscellaneous pictures, videos and beats scattered about.
Either create an individual folder on your computer and move these icons involved within it, or have a short out and put these things into their perfect folder.

Or, if music is your thing, consider a free Pandora or Last FM account and listen to music while you’re seated at your PC.
5. Do some maintenance.
Another great way to revitalize your old computer is to run Disk Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup by going to Start>Programs>Accessories>System Tools.
In addition, you can run these to see where your computer needs to be optimized.
